Dragonflies by sunnygreenwood

Dragonflies

I always manage to acquire a thing or two for the gardens each spring. This year we got a couple of bird baths - this one and a similar one with birds. The real birds don't use them regularly but Kala [1 yr old German Shepherd] often gets a drink out of them after chasing the ball.
Lucky birds - that is beautiful

Very lovely capture. I've never seen a bird bath like that before. It is really beautiful. I don't know why the birds don't want to use it. If I was a bird, I would love it.

@mittens there's lots of water around, i guess they get a drink somewhere else. we live on a river with trees all around us so there's moist air and dew, etc. Seeing the dog drink out of it may have something to do with it too ... lol. oh well, it's there if they need it.

What a lovely birdbath! Never saw anything like it. Our birds haven't been in the bird baths much since we have rain almost every day. But when it gets dry they use them a lot. I love to watch them splash when they bathe but have never yet been able to capture them before they move on ;-)
