We don't get cardinals here in the UK but I love it when my 365 friends in Canada, Joanne @gardencat and Heather @365projectorgheatherb post pictures of their cardinals.
My cardinals are a salt and pepper set which my friend gave me as a gift. She said she saw them and thought of me because she knows I like birds, not realising what an appropriate gift it was. I don't think she knew they were cardinals or had ever heard of cardinals. I just love them.
A very cute set of shakers. I do love seeing my cardinals here too. Especially in winter they can offer one of the few spots of colour in a pretty drab landscape.
