My friend Nicola and I went for a Christmas Afternoon Tea at a lovely Country Hotel. It wasn't quite what we expected. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were absolutely amazing but it it was a buffet!! We were given tiny little plates so we were going backwards and forwards to the buffet table every few minutes, even when we wanted another cup of tea. When we pay quite a lot of money for afternoon tea we expect everything to be brought to our table. Being waited on is part of the fun. I couldn't get the photo I wanted either but this is where we were sitting, in front of a nice warm fire.
Yes I agree it needs to be presented on a table in beautufull tiered dishes, you would feel greedy having to keep going up too! Perhaps that’s the idea to make you eat less! Nice table though!
