I should perhaps have had a bit more description for this - Chicken cooked this way is called Beer Can chicken. Though my wife wouldn't let me use a beer can. Or beer. The chicken sits on a stand (or beer can with the top cut off) with some fluids in it for moisture. Usually beer, but I used some apple juice I had spiced up to try to infuse some flavor. The chicken came out great, but the AJ needed more spices and the rub needed more time to penetrate.
Lol never had beer can chicken but Ive certainly heard of it. We like to try different things maybe we’ll give that concept a go (minus the actual beer can).
