Now If We Could Only Do Something About The Old Ladies

Even though the Subway train is full of ads for hair products to make your hair curly and skin products to make your skin whiter (basically products to make you not look Taiwanese), there are a few hidden gems.

This hard to make out one is an about not disturbing others when reading on the train. In the very top left in small words it says it's sponsored by the "2011 subway etiquette improvement program."

Which only makes me think since when is reading on the subway a big issue? The biggest issue I've mentioned several times are the old ladies who cut in line, and push people out of the way, to get on the train first. I've actually seen them injure people and I'm waiting for a news report of one finally being arrested.

I'd also want to get rid of high school kids taking up the priority seats reserved for the elderly and injured. and people getting on the train before waiting for passengers to get off. Although I do enjoy the ever growing trend of street justice disembarking passengers are dishing out for people getting on. revolution!

With all that being said. I really can't complain about the subway system itself. It's extremely clean and runs well. best of all for the past few years, a new line has opened up each year. Although it's fun to hear people complain about the subway system now. Back when it was only a few lines, people complained that it didn't go to enough places. Now that it goes everywhere, people complain about having to change lines once or twice to get where they want.

That's alright. I'll happily take the subway and change lines four times it if means i can reliably get to where i need to go in much less time than the bus or even driving takes. Besides where else can i see ads telling you to not disturb others when i read.
