Had another nice Sunday. Today went back to my favorite (only) deli in the city. I enjoyed it so much last week, I just had to go back this week. While the sandwich was great, I am a bit disappointed that some of the import foods I usually buy there, they don't seem to carry anymore. Oh well, they were all unhealthy things anyway.
After lunch I went hiking nearby on a trail that is said to have monkeys on it. I am a huge fan of monkeys and one of my most memorable trips in Taiwan was to a mountain in the south that was full of thousands of monkeys. But I found it hard to believe that monkeys would be so far up north.
As you can see from the picture, I was proven wrong. This monkey was happy to sit on his rock and pose for pictures taken by the other hikers. Along the trail there were a few other monkeys hanging out in the trees.
The trail ended up at Chinese Culture University, a school on the side of Taipei's most famous mountain, Yangming Mountain. But more on that tomorrow.
