I had a really good day yesterday, and I got two pieces of good news today, however today closed on a rather somber note. My good friend, confidant, companion, Doggy, passed away. Yet another victim of Taiwan's humid winters, he was stricken with a case of early onset mold. Perhaps he could have had surgery from a dry clean specialist, but even after the surgery he wouldn't have been the same old Doggy.
He was an adventurous dog. Always going out to explore the city on his own. We had a lot of good times together, we often played video games and watched TV together. As you can see he really loved cereal which at times could be a pain if he ate it all up.
But like with any family, when a new younger member joins, the older member starts to get ignored. We didn't play much these last few years, but he still was always there for me, and was a mainstay in the apartment even after three moves. Right now it's hard to look over at his chair and not see him. He will truly be missed.
