You are looking at something ingenious. Something that in my nearly eight years here, I've never seen before. Know what it is? It's a parking garage for a scooter. This garage is part of the house from yesterday's post. It's what helps this home to win the prize for the best house in the neighborhood.
I'd hazard a guess that in Taiwan there are possibly more scooters than people. While i've seen plenty of homes with normal garages, I've never seen a garage just for a scooter. granted any car garage can hold a lot of scooters, but with space being such a valuable thing in taiwan, it seems like it would be much wiser to make a scooter garage instead.
But I guess this just shows the wishes of humans. That if people are going to make a garage, they make it a car one. Even though not many people have cars in the city, they think that perhaps one day they may have one. So the owner of this home gets extra points for not only just building what she needs, but knowing herself so well that she can feel comfortable with what she does have.
