Untill Next Year...

Back near the end of June, I posted about how it was the beginning of the season for my favorite fruit, the golden mango. It was a quick season this year. At first I was having mango for my dessert everyday for about a week. After waiting a whole year it can be a bit hard to not go overboard.

After that first week I was a bit sick of them, but a few weeks later I was back to eating them often just because in the middle of the season they are so incredibly cheap. I was getting huge mangoes that would take me more than two days to eat for under one USD. Utterly insane price.

Now in the dog days of summer here in Taiwan, the price of all fruit goes up. I hadn't had mangoes on my mind in awhile but when I saw some in the local supermarket I rushed over. But with it being the end of the season, the few renaming mangoes have skyrocketed in price (as pictured above).

So goodbye to my favorite fruit for a year. But fear not, the close of it's season just means the beginning of the season for some other fruit. I can't wait to find out which fruit is next up! I believe that it's one of my other favorites the "sugar apple!"
