Scooters here are used to carry pretty much anything and everything. In this dark picture is a scooter carrying a mattress with it's other end resting on a hand truck.
As cool as this is, it's probably not in the top 100 of things i've seen carried on a scooter. Whatever you can think of, I've seen it carried on a scooter, either piled high to the sides, towering behind the rider, or pulled behind it. It's so common place here that I actually don't even notice it most of the time.
The one peculiar thing though, is why isn't any of this against the law? I've yet to see somebody get a ticket for having their scooter carry something so large that it is not only dangerous, but it takes up more than one lane and slows all traffic. It really does appear that the scooter lobbyist are quite good at their jobs.
