A little over a week ago I showed a picture of an apartment building that for years I've wanted to live in. That every day I will quickly look online to see if there is an apartment for rent in that building. Well after years of looking, this week an apartment went up for rent. I set up an appointment today to go take a look.
I figured that I'd just go take a look at what it's like inside, and I will have gotten it out of my system. Unfortunately for me, the apartment is very nice. Nice layout, smart design, and some nice features. A perfect apartment to match what I'd been dreaming about for years.
The problem of course comes with the price. While not super expensive, it is a bit expensive. Even if I broke my plan of intensive language study, and went back to working full time, I wouldn't get paid immediately. By the time i could have enough money, the apartment would already be rented.
So what have we learned? Well we have learned to never go after your dreams. If i never thought about this apartment and never went to see it, i wouldn't be upset. Also we have learned to never pursue your goals. If i didn't have the goal to become good at Chinese, thus opening up my opportunities both here and around the world, than I would have the money to get this place.
The picture is from the apartment's front balcony. One possible drawback is that unlike all the other apartments, it doesn't have a nice big bay window in the living room. However the chance to look out at the park from inside the apartment building i would always stare at when sitting in the park and dream about living in one day, was in a word...orgasmic.
