There is a picture I want to take pretty much every time I have a meal. The picture above is of "meat rice." It's as simple as it's name. Either a bowl of rice with some diced chicken on it, or diced pork rib meat on it.
The thing is, it's freaking delicious! Actually I shouldn't say that cause I used to work with one guy who hated when Taiwanese said that everything was "delicious" he said that the word is only reserved for some food you think is truly incredible, so not for fast food. Regardless, I really like meat rice. It always tastes good and whenever i have it, I leave with a smile on my face.
The picture above is from a place that is "famous" for it's meat rice. Despite it being so simple, it's not as ubiquitous as you'd think. I'm guessing it's deceptively simple, in that it actually takes a lot of skill to get it just right. So usually you can only find it in places that specialize in this one thing.
The reason I think about getting this picture everyday is that for a lot of places that that have "lunch box" the rice part will come with a tiny bit of meat rice on it. Usually coming from a pot in which some of their normal meat has been soaking in. So it's mainly just meat juice water. So every time I eat i think to myself that i need to go to this famous place and get a picture of some proper meat rice.
