Now this Would Raise Your Heart Rate a Notch or Two

We came across this Land Cruiser and van (about $200k worth of kit) that had rolled about 30ks outside of Roma on the second day of our road trip. The general opinion from people who knew nothing about it seemed to be that it had been flipped by the draught from a passing road train.
I reckon it would be bloody terrifying. Would sure put a dampener on your holidays.
No need to comment - just sharing a sad sight with you.
Stay safe.

Not nice to see Terry.Twice around Australia and i,ve had some high speed trucks with pans on pass me in the opposite direction with only a slight movement from the caravan. The trouble is a lot of people by a caravan and have never had any towing experience and end up in trouble and don,t know what to do.They should have to do a towing test before being allowed to tow something that is as heavy as their vehicle

Thanks for that Terry!!! Just what I needed to see as our departure gets closer! I agree with the comment by @peterlgrave and we have just finished a towing course over here before we leave but I don't think anything would give you experience dealing with a high speed road train - I think I shall be driving very cautiously! Hope no-one was hurt in this incident.

@judithdeacon I was thinking of you when I posted this Judith. This was a large van. Far less effect on a camper like you will be towing I would think.

On my way to Bowra in October, but no caravan. Still, I'll be careful. Hope all were ok.

So sad! My brother-in-law experienced this exact thing (being upside down) ... in the pitch blackness of night. Totaled his truck and camping trailer. Mountain pass winds came down through a valley and caught him on the highway. Flipped him numerous times. Hope your travels are safe ones.
