Day 12 - Undara, FNQ

On the way back to camp from watching the sunset and then thousands of micro bats leaving their cave for the night (no 365 worthy photos), we came across this wallaby and her joey who were guarding the road.

O/S 365ers may not be aware that many thousands of kangaroos and wallabies are killed on Oz roads each year - usually at night. More on that later in our trip.

Given that this was taken through the windshield of our mini-bus, I was very happy with it.
That is so cute

Your windshield must be lots cleaner than ours is when we're traveling. Nice shot :)

Very nice shot. Thanks for sharing. Would have thought that was a kangaroo, had you not said wallaby.

SO, SO CUTE!! Love these creatures. Breaks my heart to think about them getting hit on the roads. That's like our American deer who seem to be drawn to headlights coming down the highways...

@terryliv Making my garden more beautiful and my day`s more happy. Have it for more than 5 years. Need some shelter for our winters. Thanks Australia.
