I had tried on a number of occasions over the previous week or so to get a shot like this and this was my last attempt. It was all Rhoda's idea.
Once we left St George behind we moved into your typical grazing and farmland country and it all became rather ho hum. By the time we reached Dalby, it was back to reality with traffic lights, traffic and all the normal rubbish. With the scent of home in our nostrils and nothing special to see, this was the last of our photographs.
I hope you have enjoyed our trip around Queensland and I hope we have inspired you to get out and see the small towns, and the outback, especially those places that are not on the normal tourist trail in this great country. As MBrutus always likes to say, it is not the destination that matters but the journey.
And in case you are wondering, we did 8,600kms in our 25 days.
Always love pylons, unless, of course, they aren't meant to be in the shot. I have thoroughly enjoyed the shots & narratives of your Queensland trip Poppo.
Lovely perspective like the diminishing lines all the way to the vanishing point, must say I have enjoyed travelling along with you Terry through your interesting photographs been to familiar places Mission Beach to the Daintree Rainforest through to places I have never heard of less seen, bet you had a great adventure:)
...the journey and the memories!! I've enjoyed your travels - nearly as good as the Simpson Desert!!! I must find out how many kms we did :) Like your poles too!
I like your marching pylons too.
