Started our day by taking one of the optional excursions on the tour - a helicopter flight over the GC. Fantastic. Lots of photos taken and lots of rubbish due to reflections in the plexiglass canopy.
At the time this shot was taken we were en route from the airport to the south rim of the canyon and flying pretty low over the trees, we had "The Ride of the Valkyries" playing in our headsets and seconds later, the ground suddenly dropped away by a few thousand feet, our stomachs gave a little lurch and we were over the canyon.
