I Would Have Helped Him But . . . . . .

Day 12: Snow Canyon State Park, Utah

. . . I was too busy photographing his demise.

This fellow slipped on the top of the rock we climbed and fell quite a way before he managed to save himself. He then had to haul himself back up.
Like I said I would have helped him but I needed to keep the camera ready in case he lost his hold and fell to the canyon floor below.
Besides he was part of the group that I had christened The Florida Mafia
You gotta be kidding! Did he really slip or did someone push him ??

This is my nightmare. I don't worry about myself on heights so much as I do other people. Still, what an unusual shot!

Sounds like my reaction every time I watch some dumb tourist almost fall into a thermal pool!

@jerome ha ha Ha You picked it Jerome. It wasn't flat but was on the slope of the rock we had climbed. He was posing for the rest of the Florida Mafia when I turned and saw him and took this shot without thinking too much about it. Couldn't believe the effect I had captured when I saw it on the computer. @tonydebont @pyrrhula @gilbertwood @suzanne234 @koalagardens @claycameras @claycameras @janeandcharlie @louannwarren @ludwigsdiana

Dear Poppo,
well, I climbed a lot of mountains. That's why I know that in a steep face you are much more tense and your muscles are much more stressed than with this man on the photo, who is rather casually "hanging". If this really was a steep slope, then he would not have come as far as the picture suggests. Also the footwear is not really convincing.
But this photo is a very nice idea!
