Our two magpies sitting on our kitchen window sill and looking very threatening, like a pair of undertakers assistants who are just waiting for the moment when . . . . .
@ludwigsdiana Rhoda here. We have had the same family, different generations of magpies for 40 years coming to be fed. They are just getting more adventurous now that there are no children to scare them. However Maggie and Vivi are arriving back on Tuesday and will be staying here until Mum and Dad find a house for them to purchase.
Great shot Poppo! And the significance of the title did not escape me. I was fascinated by that "song" in my youth. I believe I still have the 45 in fact! Congrats on the TP and PP. Did Rachel take note? ;)
LOL! I'm "of the era" when that song was on the charts! I also remember visiting Sydney, and my friend would feed mince to the Maggies from her kitchen window! I was enchanted! I now have two crows that call out to me, and I let them know I have a handfull of peanuts for them; they now swoop down as soon as I start to walk away! The next time we're having a hamburger dinner, I'm setting some aside for them! It should make us even better friends!
