Bleary Eyed

I took quite a few shots of this very colourful grass hopper/locust and in all of the shots, his eyes came up very dull and ordinary looking. I expected something far more interesting like a fly.

It's a wonderfully detailed image and he's interesting to look at (great macro) but alas - their eyes are not like a flies - though you can see when theses guys eyes follow you (sometimes creepy).

Probably been sampling some of your home brew Terry .This has been known to create the glassy eyed problem !!! Nice shot.

Whoa! What a beautiful capture! I wonder if you might try upping the contrast a teeny tiny bit?
