One of the reasons for our (my brother and I) drive down to Sydney was to visit the Gosford Classic Car Museum. He is a bit of a car nut and I was happy to tag along.
The museum was started only two years ago by a wealthy Australian entrepreneur, Tony Denny, who had a passion for cars. He sold some of his company shares and purchased $17million worth of classic cars to establish the museum.
The vehicles on display are all owned by Tony and the majority are for sale. One of the workers we spoke to said that they sell about 15 cars per month. Of course, the museum (Tony) is constantly purchasing additional cars and if we were to visit the museum in 12 months time, it would be a completely different display.
The first car inside the entrance was this 1959 Ferrari Testa Rossa.
It is not an original vehicle but is a recreation of the car and was built in 1963. This car is a steal at just $450,000. If it were an original, 1959 Testa Rossa would be worth in the vicinity of $10 million. A 1957 250 Testa Rossa sold on 20 August 2011 for $16,400,000.

Apparently there was a time when this car, along with several similar models, was viewed as merely a "clapped-out obsolete racer" and often sold for as low as $4,000 around 1965. Wish I had had a crystal ball back then.
365ers who are averse to motor cars and can't see anything stylish about them can ignore my next few postings :-)
Charlie has explained the spinner hubcaps to me. I will definitely not ignore your next few postings because Charlie will explain things like that to me!
