When I was a teenager, my dream car was always the Jaguar XK150 which was produced between 1957 and 1961. The museum didn't have any XK150s so I had to settle for a sit in this 1954, XK120.
This particular vehicle has done only 14,500 miles and it was POA.
This will be my last posting from the Gosford Classic Car Museum. Hope all you petrol heads out there have enjoyed them.
@janeandcharlie No Jane, we were good. My brother and I were admiring the Jags when one of the older attendants came up and started giving us the low down on the cars and asked us if we wanted to sit in them. Like Duh!!!!
So he took us inside the ropes and we got to sit in these older Jags as well as quite a few of the cars such as the E-Type jags, the Cadillac, one of the Packards etc. Basically any car we wanted, within reason. It was a bit embarrassing actually. Everyone else was watching on from outside the ropes thinking we were some sort of VIPs or perhaps some wealthy prospective buyers.
You can tell Charlie that Brian got to squeeze himself into a Ford GT40. He had a similar amount of trouble getting into and out of it that I had with the XK120
