We were only in Ealing (London) for two nights before we jumped back on a plane (as if 28 hrs, 2 days earlier wasn't enough) and flew down to La Rochelle in France. Our daughter had booked a house in the small village of Les Portes en Re on Il de Re for a week and we decided to join them.
So for our first day there, we just had to enjoy a beautiful lunch at one of the many street cafes the village has to offer.
