The lady who we were renting our cabin from told us a particular spot on the Broken River where there was a good chance of us seeing a platypus. We thought "Yeah, I'll bet" but took her at her word and off we went. We didn't just get a fleeting capture of one. Over a period of 2+ hours, we managed almost 300 shots of a number of them in 4 different locations. Unbelievable
For O/S 365ers, these unique animals are quite rare and very difficult to see in the wild.
I love these guys. When we were in Tassie last year, I sat by the side of a bridge where I was led to believe they 'hung out' for about 4 hours. No luck .... I think the locals set me up. LOL
How fantastic to get these amazing photos. Can you give us the coordinates as we will be in Eungella National Park and it would really make our trip if we could get to see these!
