I really wish I had taken a photo of our hire car. It was a bright red Kia shaped like a little cube. You could almost hear what people were thinking when they came across these two old fogies driving it on the freeways.
At one point we passed a BMW (the driver was obviously half asleep) and within seconds, he went flying past us obviously affronted by our audacity at passing him.
But we made it safely to Vegas without getting lost or any mishaps
A daunting prospect, great image of those long wide Freeways Terry, I drove from LA (Santa Monica) to Vegas and didn't get lost either had builtin Sat Nav, I was amazed how slow they drive along the Freeway:)
There are three different car companies that make cube cars. They all look very strange! LOL! Looks like you hit the interstate at the right time though, no traffic.
