Colorado River at Work

Day 10: Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah

Not far from Canyonlands National Park is Dead Horse Point State Park which once again features the erosion work of the Colorado River.

It was very overcast and hazy when we were there but even so, I thought it was almost as impressive as the Grand Canyon, just on a smaller scale.

Would have been brilliant on a sunny day
Stunning landscape Poppo :)

The Colorado, at 1,450 miles long, it is America’s Nile. I have a friend who led rafters on it in The Grand Canyon, it flows for 277 miles there. It’s the most contested waterway in America, but nothing can control it or stop it’s 6 million year carving of our land. It provides power to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Albuquerque and Los Angeles. As you can tell, I love our Colorado River! I love this photo too, huge fav for me.
