This poor garden has copped a bit of a hiding this summer. I pruned the tree that provided shade for the broms at the end of last summer and hoped that it would have regrown sufficiently to provide shade this summer. But it wasn't to be. Consequently a lot of the broms are quite sun burnt but there wasn't much I could do about it.
A couple of Vrieseas in the foreground, then some Aechmeas including the ones with the pink flower, Aechmea Fasciata, and the signature plant of the genus and the some neoregelias at the top of the garden. The neos are the ones that suffered most with sunburn.
