Magnifique Magnifica 2

I know it is Magnifica because the owner told me so. I had go to into the persons place to get the sun on the flowers for the pics and while shooting I heard this person call out "It's Magnifica". It was the owner of the house and he came out and gave me a bit of a commentary on it. I think he was pretty proud of it - and rightly so.
Wow,what stunning colour, lovely with the sun shining on the blooms :-)

@hermann Actually Sally, they aren't the blooms. They are just coloured leaves (don't know the correct term for them) that are supposed to attract pollinators to the insignificant flowers. View large and you may be able to see little white flowers amongst the coloured bits.

@harbinger No Doris, it is Bougainvillea, a robust growing vine that can become quite large as it scrambles over structures or other plants. It has long thorns which is one of the reasons I said it was good in someone elses yard. I would have thought that you had them in NC. See also my comments above to Hermann.

Such a pretty pink color.

I can see why the neighbor was proud. Wow.

@terryliv Now I see it. I have two Bougainvillea - one rose color and one yellow. The problem is that in NC they can't stay outside in the winter. I have to cut mine back (in the pot) drastically to get it in my little greenhouse.

@hermann @tracelee @digitalrn @moxy @lyndemc Thanks everyone for your comments. It wasn't a neighbour Lyndemc. It was actually a couple of suburbs away
