I didn't have a pic for this album until 10 mins ago when our friendly brush tail possum came in for his nightly feed - just earlier than usual. We put out fruit scraps for him each night which helps to stop him eating our parsley, basil . . .
@kporte yeah, we used to have little girl who would eat from our hand. We used to have to block the back door off (when it was open) to stop her coming inside and then 2 males came in and we didn't see the girl again.
My goodness how different they are from my visitor! (except for those tiny little feet) Very nice capture of your friendly visitor. I understand why yours came to visit - not sure about mine!
@hermann The ring tails are far nicer than the brush tails. When the kids were young, we hand reared a ring tail that had been orphaned and he behaved just as a pet would. We called him Ringo and he would crawl over the kids, sit on their shoulder etc. Of course as soon as he was old enough we introduced him to the big bad world.
Wow! You have the most amazing visitors in your yard.
My aunt that's visiting Australia right now shared a photo with me today of her holding a koala at RainForestStation. I've since added "Hold a koala" to my bucket list.
Great capture :) I too had a regular male possum visitor who would look in through the glass back door, just hoping to get in one day! I did photograph him looking in!
