Granville Island Markets - Vancouver

Day 6: Victoria and Vancouver BC
Visited the Granville Island Markets and came across the fellow carving a totem pole.
I was standing on the footpath watching when he looked up and asked if AI would like to come in and take a closer look. No brainer.
He was using a hooked blade tool here to scrape the carving into this old piece of Douglas Fir. He was telling me that he was in Brisbane in 1988 and carved the totem pole that stood at the entrance of the Canadian pavilion at Expo 88. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ran of time to post this this morning.
