High Density Living

Still at the Mt Cootha Gardens and I spotted this spiders web that was home to at least 5 Golden Orb spiders.
I'm not a spider expert and I don't know if it is common or not to have a single web home to this many spiders. They were all running around doing their spider web duties.

I've seen spiders living in a commune like this up Tomaree Head there are gangs of them up there and quite scary in the evening if you walk through one of their webs.

Must be a health environment, spiders and frogs are reportedly good indicators.
