This platform is out in the Tappahannock River and was put there specifically for osprey to nest.
This pair has successfully mated. The one on the nest was feeding when we first saw them. A small head was also initially visible. When I got out to get this picture I could hear at least one, possibly two chicks singing for their supper, or rather, their lunch.
