Sea Pigeons

I have seen pigeons flying just inland near the beaches here in Virginia Beach but today is the first time I've seen them anywhere near to the water. They were just hanging out, preening and catching some rays.

BTW, there's no such thing as a sea pigeon, I just made it up.

Near to where we live there is a Georgian harbour which still has buildings and ships in. A lot of 'period' filming goes on there too, There are a great many Doves and Pigeons there (the doves were released as part of a film some time ago) they were all white ones. They have obviously mated with the 'home' birds so now there is a vast amount of differently coloured birds there.
