This weekend is the Military Aviation Museum'sBIG annual air show, Warbirds Over The Beach. Today, on Day #2, we had several thousand more guests coming in to see most of our aircraft get airborne.
The planes went up in waves, based on certain themes. This was part of the US fighter group. The Chance-Vought F4U Corsair was carrier-based fighter aircraft. It was more than capable in that role, achieving an 11:1 kill ratio. The plane was popularized by the 1970s TV show, Baa Baa Black Sheep, known in syndication as Black Sheep Squadron.
