Bikeway and Grain Condos by tosee

Bikeway and Grain Condos

Minneapolis got it's start because of the water power at St Anthony Falls on the Mississippi and the closeness to Midwest and western grain fields. Pillsbury, Gold Medal, and Cargill were and are part of this milling city's history . The bike path was a former railroad and the condos were grain storage elevators. The condos are really cool inside with large windows and curving walls.
That's a pretty amazing architectural transformation. Great camera angle, Tom!

I like the grit this image has; the snow and sand and salt. I like the curve in the path that leads right to those condos. Are the condos made from the grain elevators? How cool.

Nice shot. Who knew they could build condos from grain silo. Very interesting.
