Deep in the Shadows

from his pocket the cell phone flashes-
dangling conversation.
(See Simon and Garfunkel "The Dangling Conversation" and "A poem on the Underground
Wall") How different the same scene can look and feel when converted from color to b & w., a little cropping and tonal change. One seems to be more about the place, the other about the people.
looks great and i love the dangling conversation concept though i havent heard the song

Not quite sinister, but certainly not as cheerful.

I'm always interested in what the color version looks like. Interesting how the mood really changes without the color and with the cropping. Warm and cheery to Sam Spade-like. Interesting how the screen in the back calls to the tiled floor and that tiled floor does call out for a B&W treatment.

It does make a big difference, and the b&w adds unity.

Love this in B&W it really suits the scene.

This is a perfect example of what fascinates me about digital photography - the creative opportunities that a mastery of both the camera and PP software open up... just excellent Tom.
