The little pardalotes are very excited about my garden efforts. While digging a new garden bed, I've created a little sandy bank and they've been checking it out all day. Pardalotes nest in sandy banks and when they are courting are often seen with wings outstretched like this as if trying to draw attention to themselves by showing their orange highlights to perfection.
