State elections in Queensland today. Around the state it is becoming traditional for community groups to set up food stalls near the polling booths. They are great money spinners. Our local CWA (Country Women's Association) held a Bush Market and Car Boot sale and sold morning tea. The home baked food, which is the pride of CWA by the way, is always popular as is the opportunity to gather and socialize once that all important task of voting is completed. Voting is compulsory in Australia so everybody in the district is out and about at sometime during the day.
