Day's End by ubobohobo

Day's End

And what a beautiful day it has been. I tried to catch the joy of clear skies and sunshine after a week of miserable weather but didn't succeed as well as I would have liked. However it does celebrate my neighbour. She is spending her school holidays cycling across Cape York from Cairns to Kurumba to raise funds for isolated children. I'm filled with admiration. Good luck girls!
June challenge - The front verandah is my favourite part of my home. It allows me to look out on to these beautiful hills. The light variations throughout the days, weeks and seasons providing an ever-changing backdrop to daily life.
The sheer beauty of the scene restoring my faith in God and calling me to reflect on the words of Gerard Manly Hopkins in "God's Grandeur"
"The world is charged with the grandeur of God
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil..."

A beautiful shot and perfectly suits the verse. Although I'm not religious, it is one of my favourite poems for the rich beauty of the words.
