Weathered 2 by ubobohobo

Weathered 2

I misunderstood the Thursday challenge for Same September and went for an abstract idea - "weathered". Today I spotted this weathered gumleaf on a weathered hayrake. If you're not taken by the image you may perfer to visualize the scene of me taking the shot. I'm crouched on the ground with a bull behind me nudging me for a pat, wrens protesting in the weeds around me because I have invaded their territory - must be a nest somewhere near by- and of course the ever present dog wanting to get between me and what I'm shooting. Probably a far more comical scene than the one I captured.
I think you have captured this beautifully Margaret, especially with all the hindrance you endured.

Well, I like the textures and composition of the shot, but I must say that the visualization is equally amusing! :)

Haha! So it's not just me who is found at odd angles with a camera then!! Love the concept and think it's just fine for the challenge.. as long as you stick to the same idea. (Rather think that my symbol is more of a shape...) Anyway - love the leaf and the rustiness behind it - such wonderful colours in this shot. And well done for getting it with a bull bumping your bum!

I think you can interpret these things in the way you want; having said that, this is a beautifully 'weathered' shot in all respects.

You have made something beautiful from the very ordinary. I love the hardship involved in taking the photo. I would love to see the other view as described.
