Day one has passed without incident and my dear little hen has proved herself to be an excellent mother. I'm very impressed. She took her little brood for a complete tour of the garden walking very slowly and carefully and ever so cautious. She regularly paused and gave them time to rest and seemed to be constantly checking to see all were still present and accounted for. Made me smile as her eye constantly moved from poult to poult.
