Not my intention today to upload cattle. I was aiming for water birds but they wouldn't cooperate. So weaners it is. These little fellows have been separated from their mothers for about a fortnight. They are now running with a herd of older heifers to help them settle down.
I love this for several reasons--the cows look different than they do here, and I think they are very handsome, especially their ears. The calves have so much to learn, such as getting out of the way of vehicles. It's a snapshot of your ranching life, and finally, the scenery is just so pretty!
Just weaned or not, these calves are certainly looking happy with their lot, plenty of feed for them so hope it stays that way and they grow out quickly.
