The dam supplies Gladstone's water but has almost destroyed our valley by covering most of the rich farming soils on the valley floor and driving farming operations up into more marginal land. Progress I think it is called.
The clarity of this shot is amazing, love the little grass in the beak of the second bird. So sorry to hear that the dam has pushed farmers out, we have lost so much of the best farming country already that I wonder if we are not turning into a country of coal & gas mining. Not an inviting prospect.
