Our bowls club celebrated the international horse race the Melbourne Cup, known as "the race that stops the nation", with a luncheon, fashion parade, competitions, hobby horse race on the bowling green, trivia and other games as well as watching The Race at 3.20pm. But the word for Nov15words is "cold" so you don't get to see the fashions and hats just the welcome glass of cold fluid that was most welcome given the hot November weather we were experiencing.
