folding screen

Same amazing 300-year-old ryokan in Japan where my previous “lighting triptych” came from, only this time it’s a patterned folding screen. I took it from up close and at an extreme angle to create this almost Escher-like quality.

@ginaanderson thanks Gina - I do love abstract photography. In the spirit of the competition, however, I took this last February while in Japan, I’m just now getting around to posting photos from that trip, so I’m not sure it would be fair to enter this photo. I’d definitely like for something else abstract to post, though.

@vankrey Ah, you're quite right that it wouldn't quite fit the rules. The deadline is the end of the week, so there is plenty of time to come up with something else 😁
