No time for pictures today - my older one brought home a nasty stomach bug from school, and the whole day we were dealing with consequences. Took this as he was sleeping, and tried to play around (very unknowingly) with editing tools to make the shadows stronger.
Thank you so much for the ton of comments on yesterday's garage! I didn't expect it at all - it was one of those snapshots where you are happy you have your camera with you.
I like the 'dealing with consequences' euphemism - hope the consequences are wearing off now. This is beautiful - great shadows and composition and of course that's a very pretty tulip
Oh no! I feel for you and your son. Hope he gets better soon. Never the less, you caught a nice picture. I wonder how it would look, if you flipped it.
Thank you so much - shadows, that's what attracted me to this "frame" - that it was puzzling a bit to see one tulip agains the wall but three shadows (from the tulips that were sticking into other direction). And funny enough - I only noticed it because I was sitting at the table after he fell asleep utterly exhausted, so my gaze wondered to the wall. Luckily. Thank you for your comments!!!!!!

Thank you all so much - the junior is feeling better now, which can be determined by the fact that he actually requested the Legos to play. So, there is hope :)
@runestone Hi Beth, your comment actually made me laugh! Now when I look at the picture I can't even think of anything else but Triffids!!!!! And the lonely tulip is "staring" at me from his curvy neck. :) Made my day! :)
@californialover Thanks, Ute. He is better. Flipping... I haven't thought about that one, because the one thing that attracted me to the scene was how the tulips were "hanging" out of the vase horizontally, but I tried now. I did prefer the original still because all others tended to have slightly "odd" angle. Thanks for the comment!
@whimsicalgrateful Thank you so much for commenting! I did like the fact that it could be just one tulip with triple shadow, but the payoff was I could only fit that much of the stem into the frame without also including other flowers. So, I had to cut it off right where it is cut off now, but I see you point that it could have been also good to have more of the actual flower in the frame.
@bob65 Thanks, Bob. I think, what Ute @californalover also meant when she asked if I tried to "flip" the image. But that's how it was - the "hanging" sad, almost gone tulip that was leaning over the side of the vase, almost snake-like, and for me, flipping it would lose that sadness and that melancholy that comes to mind when I look at the photo and remember the "drooping" flowers :)
@isimo Thank you for your comment, Rob! I see your point about the portrait orientation! Never occurred to me, since my vision was rather anchored to the way it was in the "real life" :)
@lxxx@annekelleher Thanks! They did look soft hanging down like this, and the shadow just stopped me in my tracks. So, I am glad you liked those aspects too. :) @lxxx@annekelleher
