The Missing Piece

More or less a picture for me because of couple of reasons: 1) He is a big puzzler, and it's great to actually have a picture of him doing it. 2) Every time he is deep in puzzling, I can't help but smile at this little white streak of hair on the top - for me, it's a "missing puzzle piece" that makes him special. Just a completely white streak of hair he had from the very beginning. And 3) This picture reminds me how little I actually know what I am doing with the camera. Frustrating!!!! Between keeping an eye on the background, keeping the subject in focus, wanting to have both the concentration on his face and the white streak of hair in the frame + the moving kid, it's a miracle it turned out as it did. Not perfect, but a good reminder that I have lots to learn and to practice.
Thanks for visiting!
He really is concentrating. Lovely photo.

Great shot. You can see his concentration from his furrowed eyebrows and I think his white streak is just lovely.

I can see the frown on his face as he works out the puzzle. The white streak is interesting - wonder how it occurred!

You have no idea how often I did that puzzle with my kids. It was a favorite for many years in our house.

Mission accomplished. You did all of the both exceptionally well! Great shot.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! I am glad his concentration came through in the picture, although - as I mentioned - this picture reminds me of all of what I don't know how to do, a long way ahead! :)

Maggiemae - the official name for it is the "lack of pigmentation" on that spot, just like a fraction of albino. I think there are some special powers in it - something like a scar for Harry Potter :)

Ute - how funny! Among many we have, this one is such a favorite!!!! We got it from friends who used it for years, and one piece was already missing, but somehow this just took a special place in his heart, and I think, now he can do it with his eyes closed. Over and over again..... :)

So lovely when they concentrate so hard. And I love that white streak. I can see it being a hit with the girls!

@888rachel Thanks, Rachel. Even if the streak won't work, he has his ways to get into the hearts of people!!! He figured it out pretty quickly. :)
