Well, hello to you too, neighbor!

The view from our balcony today.
Thank you for stopping by!
Cute!

For me three elements make this picture. The lead in of the slope to the cat, the eyes and the viewpoint looking down.

Those 'British Blues' have a piercing look. We had one here in our motel that gave us the look and when we opened the door, he walked in!

excellent.

That expression is rather angry looking to me, it´s like he´d be saying "what are you doing here, this is my neighbourhood!". Love the little ladders!
October 29th, 2015
Goodness me, what striking eyes. Looks a bit spooky.
October 29th, 2015
That's one malevolent cat!

Thank you so much for your comments on the angry cat! I have to admit I can't take all the credit for capturing such a stare - my own cat was a great assistant, peeking from behind my back and making our neighbour all uncomfortable and ready to stand up for his territory. And since he cannot reach and attack my kitty for intruding his airspace from a different building, all that spite and negative emotion seemed to go straight to the looks.
I also love these cats' general expressiveness. There is a Russian photographer, who keeps photographing them alongside his daughter and they make every picture magical: http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/andy-prokh-daughter-cat-photos
He has many more pictures than are shown in that article, his daughter is now older, and I believe they have two cats - a search online might yield more results.

@vera365 -- what a wonderful studio of photos, showing a relationship between child and cat that is completely artistic in its rendition!
