It was an historic upset. We had the famous Washington insider establishment candidate against an outsider. Obviously there are some people who are upset with the results and there are others who aren't. What we, the voters, need to do is, if our candidate didn't win give the winner that same consideration that we would expect if our candidate had won. This country will never move ahead if we stay divided. Division can never be cured through one-sidedness.

@skipt07 Very well said! .... If only the issue was a different look at policies and issues at hand. What it is for me is the amount of disrespect to others - whoever others that might be - and bigotry that Trump showed during the campaign. And so many people voted for this person despite all of that while still claiming to be "great" people. I can't take hypocrisy of all of that.

@vera365 - Vera I never claimed to be a, "Great person". I am the last person that would do that. On CBS's 60 Minutes on Sunday, November 6th, two days before the election, 60 Minutes did a segment with pollster Frank Luntz. CBS had Luntz gather a focus group about the election. I couldn't get an exact count, but there seemed to have been between 15-20 people. Luntz asked the group, who was voting for a candidate? Three hands went up. He then asked, who is voting against a candidate? He didn't give a number, but he did say, "most of the rest of you." I believe that is what this election boiled down to. More people disliked Hillary Clinton than they disliked Donald Trump. Or another way of looking at it, more people trusted Donald Trump than they did Hillary Clinton.
Let me put it in my perspective. I am a Vietnam veteran and like most of my comrades in arms I have a total dislike for Ms. Jane Fonda because of her treasonous actions with the North Vietnamese while we were getting shot at. I would vote for Jane Fonda before I ever would vote for Hillary Clinton!
I believe one day the United States will elect its first female president. I hope I am alive to see that historical day! I want to cast my vote for that woman. When the right woman comes along. I will not vote for a woman just because she is the only one that made it this far. I think Americans learned from their past mistake of voting for someone just because they were the first! And with that I bid you adieu!
