Americans washing THE WALL.... by vera365

Americans washing THE WALL....

... will be a new line of work in the country now, won't it? This one is MEANT to be seen on black.
How ironic to see an image like this the morning after the country went the way it did. I didn't have any camera with me, but I made myself to quickly go and check out a camera from the university's media center and ran back hoping they are still there. And they were. Practicing, I guess.....

Sad day. Sad sad day. One of my kid's daycare teachers is African American, and she was crying today as we talked about the election results.

Thanks for visiting.

P.S. The date in the EXIF is wrong since it is a borrowed camera and I didn't bother changing the settings.
It was a hugh shock to hear the news when I awoke this morning. I'm glad to live north of the US but sad to hear that your country is so divided. This is a magnificent image and represents "The Wall" so well.

@novab I just read that the Canadian immigration site crashed several times because of the number of inquiries that soared after the news. My kid was begging me to move somewhere.

Wonderful image Vera, a weird amazing day for the USA, how could that happen? Hope things aren't as bad as we think they will be. Fave.

Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what you country can do for you!!!

God bless the liberal media for giving us a new president, now I shall be able to hear the body count from Afghanistan, you remember Afghanistan? Western Washington State has a military base that is a jumping off point for those heading to Afghanistan, men are still going over there, some are not returning. I heard a promise to end that eight years ago.

Sooner or later the backlash had to happen, how long can you give and give and give and still be _told_ that you haven't given enough?

Maybe people will start to think for themselves again and make up their own minds rather than the government telling them what to think.

What dedication to get that shot! And it's a great one. I believe we have to push on and remain kind, brave citizens that fight for what we believe in.

I keep looking at this shot and am so impressed and I'm trying to put into words why it works so well for me....Great composition and scale of the men to the wall; great lines; and something else, intangible.
