Ripgut Brome so called because it can cause harm to livestock that feed on it. Such a charming name!!
Either that is very tall grass or you were flat on your belly, lovely close up.

Charming name but if I. were a livestock breeder I would not want it anywhere near my stock. Still they make a lovely subject to capture.

I didn't know its name, but it can cause big problems if the seeds penetrate a dog's foot too
